  1. Corn Dogs
    1 cup flour
    2/3 cup corn meal
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1/2 brick silken tofu
1 1/4 cup almond milk or soy
    1 tsp salt
    1 tbsp agave
    vegan hot dogs or sausages

    1. In mixing bowl, add flour, corn meal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda
    and sea salt. Whisk together.
    2. Add tofu, almond milk and agave nectar. Mix everything together to form
    a smooth batter.
    3. Set in refrigerator for about 10 min
    4. Heat a pot of canola oil to 350 degrees.
    5. Place skewers lengthwise in vegan hotdogs.
    6. Pour batter in a tall glass. Dust vegan hotdogs in corn starch. Dip in
batter so that they are coated well and submerge in hot oil.
    7. Pull them out once then brown up and set on paper towel.

  2. I made these with my meat eater teenage daughter tonight. She even did the
sound effects for me as I added the ingredients to the bowl. lol She said
that they did taste just like real corn dogs! 😀 I asked her, “So is this
recipe a winner then?” She gave me a thumbs up as she chowed down on them
and said, “It’s a wiener.” lol Thank you so much Jon. I am going to make
a vegan out of her yet with your help! :)

  3. Your a faggot that gurl you commented on that was benching had a disease
the makes her permanently bend her back

  4. Thanks!
i made it for 4th of july and it was awesome!

i used regular tofu and ground with the soy milk using an immersion
    blender. works great as well.

  5. Hi, Can someone tell me what the tofu in the batter was for? I want to know
if it was replacing something in a normal mix or if it is optional.

  6. Very good recipe. My husband and I just made these. The batter was very
tasty. I used a Hamilton beach fryer but still had to cut my hot dogs in
half. The heat is very important. My oil wasn’t hot enough in the beginning
and I had two throw aways but the rest came out great. They taste just like
the vegan corn dogs I have had in restaurants. Thanks

  7. Why is it that every time I watch one of your videos there is an advert for
    dairy products beforehand?!! CONSPIRACY! lol

  8. 3.13 it’s heart warming every time you taste your own food, you have that
look in your eyes that says it’s gooooood!

  9. I have a question. Not be be disrespectful but, I noticed in your earlier
videos (2012) you were much slimmer, I am converting to a vegetarian and
hopefully one day vegan lifestyle. Will converting cause me to gain?

  10. ooo i’m super inspired by your portabella lasagna, and the tip to use the
foil as a base to elevate is so cool.

  11. the lasagna looks amazing! Just a suggestion…instead of the foil, instead
use canning jar RINGS to elevate…simple…cheap…reusable. Just a
    suggestion.

  12. Cute couple! Its nice that your husband wants to try new things with
you….Most men only couldn’t be bothered unless its about them:)
